Every two years, BDO Partners host an event for all UK staff.
The solution
A staff ball with a difference.
The creative idea
The guests were invited to a black tie extravaganza. Olympia was chosen as a central location with excellent links and good hotel accommodation close by.
We chose themes that reflected different cultures and food styles – an Asian street with a back room casino, an English pub with grass, real ale and a coconut shy, and an American diner with banquet seating and full hamburgers.
As a special surprise we arranged for seven of the partners to have dancing lessons in preparation for the special “Come Dancing” event we helped create, with Brendon Cole the professional dancer and Strictly Come Dancing competitor overseeing the proceedings. Keeping this secret from all of the staff and even some of the partners was a challenge but we succeeded and the whole event was a roaring success.
